Martine van Krieken
Legal translator Spanish and English
Exito gave me the opportunity in 2023 to complete an internship as part of the Bachelor of Arts programme in Spanish Translation at ITV University of Applied Sciences for Interpreting and Translation in Utrecht. Languages are my passion, with a particular love for Spanish. I have since successfully completed my studies and now work as a freelance translator, regularly collaborating with the team at Exito.
I have a legal background: I hold a PhD in international law and have been practising as an attorney-at-law for over thirteen years. I combine my work as a lawyer with running my own business as a translator and copywriter.
My legal knowledge comes in very handy in the drafting of ‘masterful’ legal translations. I translate from Spanish and English into Dutch and vice versa. Of course, I know very well how important (and often complicated) legal terminology is. That is why I pay special attention to the correct terminology and its consistent use.
Besides legal translations, I also specialise in general business and commercial translations, for marketing, and tourism and real estate in particular.
