Hilde Mol-Lukkezen
Owner and translator
It was never Hilde Mol’s intention to become a translator. She finished her studies in Languages & Cultures of Latin America at the University of Leiden in 1996 and wanted to focus on development cooperation and healthcare. In the last year of her studies, she spent six months in Chili, where she did research on and wrote her thesis about young people’s attitude towards and behaviour with regard to HIV prevention and aids.
After her studies, she first ended up in the Latin America department of a big Dutch dredging company and one thing led to another. The demand for her language skills grew and in 1998 she founded Exito Translations.
Nowadays, Exito Translations provides translations in all western languages, and also makes the occasional foray outside Europe, translating into and from Chinese, for example. Exito does this with a small in-house team and with the help of an extensive network of professional, specialised translators and native speakers. With focused attention, Exito looks closely at your texts and subsequently finds the translator with the right skills and knowledge.
