Who I am
My name is Hilde Mol-Lukkezen. I completed my studies at the University of Leiden in Latin American Languages and Cultures in 1996.
During my last year of study, I stayed in Chile for six months, conducting research and writing my thesis on young people’s attitudes and behaviour toward HIV prevention and AIDS.
In 1997, I started my translation agency as a sworn Spanish and Portuguese translator. Before starting as a full-time translator in 2001, I worked at various international companies in the maritime, offshore and fashion industries. I worked in various departments and in differing positions: from marketing to legal affairs; and from employee in the America Sales department to account manager for Spain, Portugal and Greece.
Exito Translations delivers translations in nearly all European languages… and sometimes outside Europe – Chinese, for example. I do this with the support of a large network of professional, specialised, native-speaker translators. When considering your texts, I look for the translator with the proper skills and knowledge.
What does Exito stand for?
The name ‘Exito’ comes from Spanish and Portuguese. It means ‘success’ in both languages. I’d like to achieve this in my work and in the way I perform the work.
Exito Translations is certainly not the largest translation agency. Nor is it the very cheapest. I do, however, want to count myself among the best. With short lines of communication, personal attention and a professional approach. Toward my clients and toward the people who work for me.
Affiliated with and a member of
Exito Translations is affiliated with and is a member of the Dutch Society of Interpreters and Translators (Nederlands Genootschap van Tolken en Vertalers), and of the Association of Translation Agencies in the Netherlands (Vereniging van Vertaalbureaus in Nederland). Hilde Mol-Lukkezen is registered as a sworn translator in the Registry of Sworn Interpreters and Translators.

Meer weten over de organisaties waar Exito lid van is?
Exito Translations is a candidate member of the Association of Translation Agencies in the Netherlands (Dutch: VViN). The VViN supports its members and acts as an advocate in their interests. The association consists of members from translation agencies that must meet strict requirements concerning quality and the provision of service. For example, a code of conduct has been drawn up by and for the VViN. The VViN strives toward continuous improvement in the quality of service provided by Dutch translation agencies. Agencies benefit from this, as do – especially – those agencies’ clients.
Hilde Mol-Lukkezen has been a member of the Dutch Society of Interpreters and Translators (Dutch: NGTV) for more than 15 years. With nearly 1500 members, the NGTV is the largest professional association of interpreters and translators in the Netherlands. NGTV members are highly educated language specialists. Nearly all languages and professional disciplines are represented within the NGTV. The NGTV also employs a code of honour. For example: NGTV members make all their knowledge and skill available to their client for every assignment, with an awareness of the responsibility placed on them for their translation or interpreting task.
I, Hilde Mol, became a sworn translator of Spanish and Portuguese in 1997 and am therefore included in the Registry of Sworn Interpreters and Translators (Dutch: RBTV). The BTV Bureau is part of the Legal Aid Board and charged by the Justice Ministry with a number of implementation aspects for the Sworn Interpreters and Translators Act. Since early 2009, translators must be affiliated with this government-controlled registry in order to perform sworn translations officially. Interpreters and translators registered with the Rbtv must take continuous refresher courses. This can be done as a student by performing the school activities or as a lecturer or teacher by providing those activities.
